Cooling Before and After
Bookend the session without overreaching.

Before training, consider the environment and prepare the cooling resources you will actually have. Keep your normal warm-up appropriate to the activity. A cooling plan should support the session’s goal, not replace preparation.
After training, reduce ongoing heat exposure and move to a more comfortable setting when needed. Cooling is one part of the routine alongside ordinary rest, hydration and other recovery habits. Feeling cooler does not prove that recovery is complete.
When conditions are severe or a heat rule applies, before-and-after cooling is not a workaround. Change the session itself: the time, the place, the length or the intensity.
Prepare before, wind down after, and change the session when conditions demand it.
